race tracks, dinosaurs and brothers...

so this past week was really fun - started out monday going to the kempton horse race track to check out some afternoon races! i was really excited as I had never been to anything like it before, and for some reason really wanted the opportunity to gamble on a race. after we got the race card I looked at all the names and sure enough decided to put my money on "king of beers." I found myself getting really into it - the atmosphere and seeing the horses race in person was awesome - and king of beers came from behind to win me 25 pounds!

we also stopped off at the natural history museum which had a great dinosaur exhibit, as well as earthquakes and recycling;

we went to the childrens toy museum and stumbled upon african toys that i recognized from the streets of Kumasi. it was strange to see them behind museum glass... and next to the rediculous toys from our western world. it made me even more impressed with the children of ghana's creativity and resourcefulness;

Went up to visit my little brother Paul at Gilwell Park - it was great to see him and we had a great lunch and caught up after 7 months!

the TUBE!

  • You must have been so happy to see the recycling exhibit. Ha ha now you should tell the brits that they should actually go through with it!!! Go on one of your drunken recycling rants.

    Have fun in Stokholm and happy easter!
